Cellugy is awarded as one of the winners at the Agro Business Park Innovationkonkurrence 2018. Out of 45 applicants, 10 start up were selected to pitch during the final. The selected winners are:
SOLARSACK – SAFE DRINKING WATER, is potentially the world's absolute cheapest and cleanest water purification plant, which kills the organic contamination with sun light. SolarSack is aimed at developing countries, where it is 10 times cheaper than the alternatives.
CELLUGY – BETTER WITHOUT PLASTIC, is a biotech start-up with a mission to create sustainable packaging by utilizing a biomaterial derived from sugar. It pursues a packaging with the same features as conventional plastics, but harmless to the environment.
ANLÆG TIL TERMISK, KONVERTERING AF RESTPRODUKTER, is a company that develop plants for the utilisation of energy in residues without losing fertilizer value. Preliminary demonstration model tested at the Technical University of Denmark in Risø. Tar-free gas with high heating value.
Each winner receives DKK 50,000 and three months free stay at one of Agro Business Park A/S’ three startup environments in either Foulum close to Viborg, Aarhus or Copenhagen or a virtual lease. Moreover, they are offered free sparring on business development, capital and industry-specific networks.

Everyone with a good business idea in agriculture, food, biomass or environmental technology can participate in the innovation competition. The competition gives you the chance to win DKK 50,000 and to get help to turn your idea into a business. To participate in the competition any sales must not have been registered on the submitted idea. The ideas will be judged on their topicality, technological and knowledge-based news value, business potential and opportunity to realise the idea commercially.
